Senior Internal Medicine Veterinarian

We are currently seeking a senior veterinarian specializing in internal medicine for AniCura Djursjukhuset, a leading animal hospital in Jönköping, Sweden.

In October 2020, one of Europe's most modern animal hospitals was completed in Jönköping, Sweden. In our 3,700 square-meter premises, on the western outskirts of the city with nature as our nearest neighbor, we have the very best conditions to conduct advanced veterinary care and to meet today’s care needs. But to meet the future, more than fantastic premises are needed. We are now seeking to complement our team with an experienced veterinarian with a focus on Internal Medicine.

ANICURA ANIMAL HOSPITAL in Jönköping is the largest animal hospital in the region. We have been in business for over 35 years and employ nearly 90 people. The animal hospital provides outstanding care in such areas as oncology (including radiation), orthopedics, surgery, dentistry and ophthalmology. We have a rehab department and we are proud of our certification as a Cat Friendly Clinic Gold. We work with CT and ultrasound with the latest technology, and our ambition is to be able to supplement our imaging department with an MRI scanner in the future.

We are investing heavily in developing our internal medicine operations and are looking for someone to lead them. Working with us, you will play a key role and can create the career you dream of, with great opportunities for personalized competence development, exciting development projects, supervisory responsibilities, and flexible working conditions, all in Sweden’s most modern animal hospital facilities.

You are a veterinarian with specialist training, experience, and a deep interest in the field. You are passionate about internal medicine, which is evident to all who meet you! You like responsibility, want to make your mark, and are interested in mentoring and motivating younger colleagues. You enjoy thinking in new ways and are often described as creative. To be part of creating something people talk about is attractive to you.

The position includes overall responsibility for inpatient care and development of the internal medicine operations in the new animal hospital as well as a place in the hospital’s leaders’ forum. Because we are seeking someone to be in a leadership position, during the recruitment process we will place great emphasis on personal attributes.

WE OFFER YOU an exciting job in a lively, varied environment. Here, every day is unique, with room for routine visits and emergency cases, referral patients and complex investigations. Here you have the chance to work in an engaging environment, characterized by development, modern technology, skillful colleagues and forward thinking. We invest substantial resources in the development of our personnel’s skills through both internal and external training – we know that satisfied employees are a prerequisite for achieving our goal of offering the highest quality care and best customer service. This is a full-time, permanent position. There is a six-month probationary period. Start date to be determined by mutual agreement.

If you have any questions regarding the position, you are welcome to contact veterinary director Caroline Viets or HR-manager Kajsa Albinsson. Apply for the position by sending an e-mail to either Caroline or Kajsa. Application deadline is August 16th, 2021.
